Q&A
Why keep it naturally aspirated?
Because the whole point of the car is the engine. The F20C revs to 9,000 rpm. That's the feature. The moment you put a turbo on it you're fighting the car instead of driving it. I want to hear it scream, not hear a blow-off valve.
What's the mod you're most proud of?
The exhaust. I spent four months researching before I pulled the trigger on the Toda Racing unit. First time I heard it at full song on a canyon run I pulled over and just stood next to the car for a minute. It changed the whole character of the build.
What does this car mean to you?
It's the only thing I own that has no practical purpose whatsoever. No cargo space, terrible in the rain, two seats I can barely fit in with a helmet on. But I've never once gotten out of it and not been in a better mood than when I got in.
